Peter Lyon served with the militia before world War 1 and enlisted in the AIF where he served at Gallipoli and on the Western Front. He was captured in 1917 and held in several German prisoner of war camps before escaping from the Holzminden Camp in 1918. He was later recaptured. He returned to Western Australia after the war.
I am assisting his descendants with research and history work aimed at publishing an account of Lyon’s life.
